Which urn to choose for a Catholic funeral?

In fact, several conditions must be met. First, it is important that the casket itself does not offend God and religion in any way. The urn's appearance cannot offend any other person or his feelings.

Durability and the method of making a funeral urn are a separate issue. It must fulfill its function, i.e. safely store the deceased's ashes. Therefore, it must be built of strong and durable components. Which are what?

It depends where the urn is placed after the funeral. If we take her home, we have full freedom. At home, practically each urn will fulfill its task. On the other hand, if the urn is placed in a columbarium, the best materials are wood, stone, metal or steel. When the urn is in its grave, we recommend that you avoid wooden urns.

What if we want to put the urn outside? Such an urn must be weatherproof, for example made of stainless steel:

Does the color of the urn matter?

Definitely not, but subdued colors such as black, white, gray or silver are recommended.

What the urn will be made of is irrelevant, but it must not offend the dignity of the church and the meanness of the moment.
